Lagos in March

March is here and Spring is upon us. It's sunny and bright, it can actually get very hot as the sun is still low this time of the year, everything is so clear and you can see for miles and miles.

The birds are out, the people are out and the atmosphere is just so tranquil and hopeful.

These pictures are from the Avenida dos Descobrimentos, with the Ribeira de Bensafrim running alongside it. Town centre on one side, the Lagos Marina on the other and in the middle this beautiful typical cobbled promenade.

Everybody comes together here. The locals walk here, exercise here, fish here, have their businesses here. Tourists hop on excursion boats, go down the river to sea for dolphin watching, fishing, for a tour of the caves.

Spring is here and we are all excited!
